Our first annual Antelope Valley Christian Writers Conference, this past May, was a success. It was quite encouraging to see our prayers answered, with dozens of attendees and many new friends in attendance.

This time around, we thought we would give you more time to prepare. Next year's conference has been scheduled for May 4-5, 2007. (That's a Friday evening, and all day Saturday.) Anyone interested in writing for the Christian publishing market is welcome to attend. Whether you're an absolute beginner -- or a seasoned professional -- or somewhere in between, this may be for you.

For those unfamilar with the area, the Antelope Valley is a desert community at the northeastern edge of Los Angeles County. Its two main cities, Lancaster and Palmdale, are among the fastest growing cities in the state of California.

The conference will be held at Christ our Savior Methodist Church in Quartz Hill, a small unincorporated area on the western edge of the Valley. We are currently in negotiations with a number of prospective speakers and instructors. A faculty list will be announced in the near future.

We hope you will make plans now, to attend this event. Please have a look at our website, www.theology.edu/writers/conference.html. Updated information will be posted there, as it becomes available. Refreshments and a continental breakfast will be provided at no additional cost. Several budget-priced hotels are in the local area for your convenience.

Anyone interested? Please let us know. avwriters@yahoo.com

Hi Steve,
I moved this thread to Ads & Services as it falls under that category. We are considering a separate forum for Writer's Conferences and Events but it's not up yet.
