How Quick is the CW Site?

I'm doing some troubleshooting on the CW site, and would like your feedback. I'm curious to know if any of you experience extended slow times (pages hanging or not fully loading, or connection timeouts) while using the CW site. If you do experience such issues, please let me know (an estimate of) frequency. If you have great connection speed, please let me know that, too!

Nothing like you describe happens very often, but it does take fairly long, perhaps two minutes or more, to move from one page to the next. I know it's not just my computer, because I also logged on from my mom's laptop, which is newer than my PC, and the same lag happened. I suspect it's because there are so many archives that slow it down, but without being any kind of Internet expert, I can't be sure.

I often have long waits for cw to load. It can range anywhere from 2 minutes right up to not loading at all. I often have to try a few times before a page will fully load.

Sometimes, mostly in the evenings, it's so slow that I just give up. Sometimes it's my server that is slow, and the whole net lags, but other times I can go to other sites and they load fast.

Sometimes during the day, I'll get a message to say that cw took too long to respond.

Over all, I have found that cw loads slower than it used to.

If I remember correctly, David has also times when cw loaded slow.

I've got cable broadband. Perhaps I'm several time zones away from the busiest areas, but I've always found CW to load in a few seconds, day or night. I'm using Safari on Apple OS X.

I get weird messages sometimes. Mainly along the lines of "not authorized", "not available"... that sort of thing,

I hardly ever have any trouble with the site. We do have high speed internet.

No problems to speak of here in Scotland! CW is usually available at anytime.

The only errors I've experienced are user errors. *g* That proverbial "loose nut between keyboard and chair". Otherwise, great site!
