Taylor Kent:
"After much discussion with the Overlords (okay mostly just Phy) and having my planet vaporized by monkeys with Ray Guns once or twice, it was decided that I am now the Lord High PodMaster here at RGR. (And yes that does mean I am in charge of all pods... escape pods, engine pods, rocket pods, pea pods, etc.)

And as my first offical act as Lord High PodMaster, whatever that really means, we are going to start the offical RGR Podcast. Very Happy

It will ship in the weeks opposite the release of zine. The first episode of which will be released the weekend of July 22nd. This podcast will be part of a new serial one episode and a news, interview, editoral, etc the next.

The first epsiode will be a round table interview with the Overlords, moderated by me, on the topic of 'What Is RGR?'

As to the new serial, it will be written and read by me. I have been kicking around an idea about Marshals on Mars for a while and this will give the kick in the donkey I need to get it written. Unfortunately, I don't think we will start that serial until September. (I need time to write it and stuff.)

So until the serial is ready I will need content for the shows. I am going to shoot for 30-45 minutes. So if you have ideas or would like to provide content (i.e., be interviewed, give an editorial, or even read a story) let me know. Editorials and stories would have to be approved via the normal submission process.

Oh, yeah, if you are musician and would like to try your hand at putting together a 30 to 60 second theme song of somekind. That would be cool.

I think this is way, way cool! And it is going to be a lot of fun!"

Johne (Phy) Cook:
"I wish I could say that we were aggressively persuing Taylor, and despite his busy schedule, he finally relented due to the brilliance of our proposal and the sheer thrill of working with people who possess the technology to destroy entire worlds.

However, nothing is further from the truth.

We didn't approach Taylor about this. This idea, as cool as it is, wasn't even on our radar. We're still mildly shocked that we have managed to attract the quality of authors and artists that we have. No, audio podcasty thing was his idea all the way, and we love it. As his vision is sympathetic to our own (and as he has wisely chosen not to have his planet vaporized), it was very easy to go along with his proposal.

What this means is that we can return to our original concept of providing fresh original content every single week due to our online model, and that's so exciting that we're belching asteroids.

Welcome to our newest co-conspirator, Taylor Kent, aka, the RGR Lord High PodMaster!"
