I appreciate all the wonderful articles, stories and poems I see here. Its wonderful that Christian writers can showcase their work, and praise God for what he's done for them in their lives. Its an important way for Christian writers to express the gift God has given us.
But I am looking for a site where what we write will attract the seeker. The world's seekers and doubters aren't going to stop at a site that is titled 'Christian'. What they know about Christians may only be what they've been taught by the world. What kind of view can that be?
I realize of course, that if you title the site, or your articles with the venacular of the un-churched world, or for those who have no idea what it really means to be saved- you'd be risking looking and sounding like something else all together. If you are 'spiritual' that could mean an endless array of things un-Godly. If you say 'inspirational' - you sound like cotton candy, something warm and fuzzy, something that might make you feel good for a few hours, or something that may not get to the heart of the matter at all.
So what do we do? I think we should at least try be conscious of whom we want to read our words; To God in praise or worship, to the church lady, or to the man on the street. Perhaps a small start would be to title our work in way that might attract that searching, hurting person.
