Hey, just for fun I went to Google and searched my screen name DrRita. It was interesting what came up. Makes me think about what I want to leave on various forums that Slurp Spider can latch onto. Anyway, it's just some new distraction to keep me from writing.

Yeah, its a Yahoo search engine tool. It seeks out stuff on the web and places links in the search engine.

Dr. Rita:

I periodically do a search on my name just to see what comes up. This next question is gonna show how little I know, but it's the only way I know to learn: how does google place things in the order in which we see it after googling something?

Inquiring minds want to know? LOL

Blessings, Francine

Hi Francine! You and me both are in the "I don't know" category. I tried to figure out what would qualify the order and the best I could come up with is the date? Let me know if you find out.

Tried Googling my user name - all but 3-4 sites were about me.

I don't think it's the date - many later entries were further down in the list. Since searches use links to travel around the web (I think Randy Ingermanson explained it in one of his newsletters), perhaps it has something to do with how many links a site has, how often people visit it, etc.
