Could you tell me about the Chinese Governments restrictions and regulations of the internet. I vaguely understand that the Chinese Government blocks certain Christian websites and/or censures Christian content from internet communications. Could you tell me what you know about this subject.

A friend of mine has a son who is teaching English at a Chinese middle school. He uses American Music as one of his methods. The children really enjoy learning English this way. I cannot imagine trying to learn Chinese. I can't imagine trying to learn English either if I did not already know it. I think the Chinese letters are a work of art. Do the letters stand more for words than for just an individual sound in a word? It will be very interesting to here from you on this site. Welcome to America! rmacek

I think you are right, Chinese letters, which usually called Chinese characters, are very difficult to remember, that's why we spend about 5 years in primary school to remember them.
The letter stands for words, and every letter have more than one meaning.
But everything, when you really try, you can get quite good results, I also see some foreigners speak quite good Chinese.
