You know, and I mean think about...the day you were born your parents were happy, doctors and nurses were thrilled, bout the only person not happy may have been you, brought out in to the cold world kicking screaming all bloody and gooey red. Then you got spanked and cried some more.
So what is this "Happy Birthday" stuff, eh?

Think about Jesus, too. He was safe and secure in his home in Heaven, and on his birthday, Mary rejoiced, Joseph probably jumped around a little, even angels sang, but what about Him? From the splendor of Heaven to a feeding trough for a bed. At it didn't get much better the rest of his life. Look at all He gave up to begin that 33 year journey for your Salvation.

Still scriptures say he "scorned the cross before him" and finished it.

Instead of Happy Birthday I just want to say "Thank you, Jesus" for being willing to begin it there for me.

Forgive me my friends, for my lapses of thought, my detours from grace, my selfish demonstrations of ego, my closeminded rantings, and for those self indulgent trips into selfrightousness, and for being such a horrible speller.
