Is there a place where writers can share their published successes? (I don't like to use the term "Brag Board" because we're all doing this to the Lord's glory.) But then again, we can brag about how the Lord has blessed us!

Hi cawheat,

This sounds like a great idea! I can think of a couple ways to work something like this:

1) Use the existing "open forum" board. The advantage to this option is that we plan to syndicate the board across the 'net in the very near future.. this would mean extra publicity for any items posted there.

2) Create a new board exclusively for this purpose.

3) Incorporate a "published work" field in the user profiles.

4) A combination of options 1 & 3 or 2 & 3.

What do you think is the best means to accomplish this? Or do you have a different idea altogether?

Talk soon,
Rebecca

I'm not exactly sure.... At least a place where we can share "our" successes and encourage others. The hardest thing about writing is rejection.

The syndication idea is good, too.

I love this place, I hope it really takes off. I've seen other writing boards, but I just lurked. This one seems right up my ally.

I would say options 1&3 sound good.

My novel is coming out soon, so I'd love to have a Brag-Board too! :D

Hey Laura, that is absolutely great! Are you allowed to tell us the title of your novel? It is a great encouragement to see you succeed! :D Yea! We are all happy for you! :p

What about a Cheering Section where new achievements can be posted either by the one who has achieved a goqal, or another writer wishing to extend their well wishes.

This could be for gaining on-line publishing acceptance, print acceptance, or a book deal.

THis can and should be a location where general "Woo Hoo's" can be sent to those who have found some success and hopefully this results in the encouragement of others to keep at it.

Just some thoughts.

Glenn !thumbsup!
