Somethings have been dead in my life. They have been gone a long time, with no hope of retrieval. The thought of such can be painful, unbearable, yet the tank of tears have gone dry. Well, what must I do when I feel helpless, discouraged and with no strength to carry on. Oh, what must I do when all I can remember are the good times, whose tracks have already faded.

So what is the secret of returning to that place of peace and happiness?

I could be like Martha, who lost her brother Lazarus. I could accost Jesus, staying in His presence. I could declare as she did in John 10:27, that I believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.

And if I should declare this with faith, indeed, nothing can be dead in my life and remain dead. Why? Because He has given me life!

Oh! With joy I receive this!

Living in the past is an exercise in regret, do not lament that which is already gone, even if it came back it would not be as it was remembered

I discover that when something has gone in my life, the Lord does not replace the old, but gives me something new, a new perspective, a new attitude...

I pray that I die a little bit everyday, that those things that hinder my walk would pass away :)

Have you read 'Lady Lazarus' by Sylvia Plath?

It is a wonderful thing to die daily...isn't it? Though difficult, yet necessary to keep focussed.

I haven't read Lady Lazarus, will look out for it.

God bless.
