Seems they want to debut the movie in churches, not theaters.

Hopefully it's better than the first two. The second one was eh, ok, but the first one...I was disappointed. They completely turned it around and it felt fake.

I thought there was some kind of legal thing between the authors and producers about the first one . . . not spending enough money was the main complaint. I can't remember the outcome, but I seem to remember LaHaye and Jenkns disavowing all responsibility for the films.

And releasing it to churches first does not sound like a promising development to me; sounds a little like "direct to video," you know?

Well, it's a marketing stunt. Plus, instead of paying for advertizing, they're getting the participating churches to PAY THEM as much as $200 for the movie and promotional materials.

I don't think it will work, but it is interesting.

Yeah, that's what it sounds like to me too.

I guess we'll see, though...
