Well...y'all must be pounding at the keyboards producing the next best selling novel...cuz it's sure been quiet around here lately...
I'm patiently waiting to hear back from some places I submitted poetry. I'm patiently waiting to hear back from some places I turned in job applications. I'm patiently waiting to hear back from the doctor with the latest test results. I'm patiently waiting for it to be September so I can go to the writer's conference in Georgia.
Definition of patiently ...roaming aimlessly around the house, restlessly beginning and not finishing a hundred different projects, leaping for the phone every time it rings, logging online every 10 minutes out of sheer boredom hoping there's something interesting going on somewhere. :D

Sorry, it's the first week of school and i have been quite busy working with my boys and girl. Yup, I ended with only one girl in my class, my Olaya. It's cute because I told the boys they have to make sure she doesn't open a door or carry a book all year...and though it's the first week, they have been very good about it, even if it's a muttered, 'Uh, Olaya, do you like, uh, need anything?' Gentlemen in the making here.

Why weren't you at my school? I was tortured constantly until the last two years, where i decided to uh...end my problems...with action. :D (The time when three or four boys chased me home hitting me with backpacks and footballs and i fell into a thorn bush was the last straw)
But that was five years ago...who remembers anything anymore, least of all, chivalry?

Mysticfire-What brats, they were probably all in love in with you, but lacked the vocabulary to say.
Jones! You lost your stuff? Man, you ARE having a crisis!
FireFeet- Patient? You are patient? You are stalking through house like crazy moon person! You will proceed to walking in circles muttering 'oo-ba=doo=bah-doo.' It is true, I have spoken...ugh. :D Hmm...cat is crying...must go feed him...to my SNAKE!! Snake! Arrgh! A snake....badgerbadgerbadgerbadger....

Merry, one year I had like 20 girls in jr. hi, vs. about 11 girls. YOU should be happy (even if Olaya isn't!) Put 20 13 yr. olds in a 2 room basement school 6-7 hrs. a day and whew! There should be a law against that. Hope you & Olaya make some good memories this year.
Firefeet, if you're patient . . . they will come! Hang in there, man.

Patience has officially left the building. I'm gonna go play with my condiments some more. (Reference thread Writing Prompts. :) )
Merry...feed your snake a nice bunny rabbit and leave the cat ALONE. :D
Bill...here...have a cookie. Sugar helps any and all crises. !thumbsup!
Mystic and Dianne...you remind me why I never considered teaching as a career. :p

Bill... Radiant Recovery is a great program...I apply many, though not all, of Dr. DesMaisons principles. And that's why I enjoy cyber cookies so much...all the benefits but none of the side effects. !thumbsup!

_____I'm just taking things day by day. Right now I'm trying to ignore something on my desk that used to make my wife upset, but now it's normal I guess. Spend enough time with a loon and you get used to him, then he get's angry because he can't get your attention. Shrinks say my problem is an act of self-preservation, I would wonder, but I do it to tell people to leave me alone. I'm rambling here, and that's why I'm not really posting everywhere I could.

Oh no, they weren't in love with me. I refused to tell one of them something (I forgot what now) and he got his gang after me. I demanded homeschool afterward. It was off schoolgrounds, so they wouldn't have cared.
And I've been uploading images and putting them into my mom's site (see below...)
NUMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*hiss* EVIL NUMBERS!!!!!! 3300035627489332678954 SO MANY OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL THE PICTURES!!!
Ooh, pretty swords....^_^

Cool! I ordered Potatoes not Prozac on Monday, and I can't wait for it to get here. I've been fretting for a while whether or not it was money wasted, but I've been doing the potato at night / protien breakfast thing and I think it is helping my mood a little already.

Firefeet,
I'm home now but with two wonderful granddaughters and a sick husband to tend to plus the dog, the cats, the tenents of our little trailer park and the bookkeeping for the ministry and getting ready for school (theology) starting the first week in September and oh yes, trying to squeeze in some writing (good luck on that one!)I find I haven't as much time as I'd like. But all will calm down if I'm patient???? Oh yes, patience, that skill God gives no one and desires everyone to learn grrrr.
Merry, I admire your tenacity with the boys/girl thing. I bet you have a wonderful year. ;)
Bill, did you get your stuff back???
Mysticfire,
Hang in there girl, guys can be cavemen and some never grow out of it. :p
Angel,
Sound like you're making some real progress. God Bless. !thumbsup!
Diane,
You're right, there should be a law against closing Jr highers in with any adult for more than an hour at a time!!

Well, Doc, I did but I didn't. I fished the autosave file off my harddrive after Word had deleted it, but it was only half a file--what happened to make me lose everything was a long story, but a friend of mine had a program he couldn't get to work so he brought it over here (burned on a CDR of course). So I put it in, started fooling with it, my virus scanner goes nuts and the system locks up, so I did a manual power off. And I guess it was in the middle of writing the autosave file when I did that.
So.... a day's work gone. :( Oh well, I'll re-write it better than before once I get the heart to start it again.

Hi all!
Sorry I've been out of touch lately. School started here last week and son stayed home with a football injury today (major OUCH!)
And for the most part, I have no earthly idea where the last two weeks have gone. I'm back, I think...????
Tomorrow is back to writing.
Hope everyone will have a good day tomorrow. There is always tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow.... (sorry I can't sing) :p
In Christ,
Lisa
