What shall I ask God now?

I wonder about what exactly I must ask God for today

Since my to do list is always being added to
I always believe I will get to the end of it
And yet I add again
I seem unable to accomplish the end
Now shall I ask Him to take me to the end of my list?
Or that I get to the middle of it?
Or that I just stop adding to this list?
And when I become all flustered about what I have to do
That I haven't done
How can I ask Him to help me?

Lord, all I ask for is this:
That I know how to draw into Your embrace
That I know how to bow my head and pray
That I know how to cry when I feel overwhelmed
That I know how to rejoice in the midst of trials
That I know how to lay my life in Your presence

That is all I ask
In this submission
My list will find its place
Not to taunt me
But to come to its knees as well
