Hi there!
My name is Rachel, I'm 20 and currently attending Union College in upstate NY, despite having grown up in sunny California. :rolleyes: I am actually more of a visual artist than a writer - I do art of all types but in particular I'm an avid photographer and photoshop junkie. However, I do love to write as well, having found that writing provides an excellent outlet for pent-up emotions. I mostly write poems and songs (sans music - music is NOT one of my gifts unfortunately...) though I have been attempting to write some devotional type stuff - God willing, I'll eventually compile all my scraps into an actual book...
I joined up because it's nice to read other people's work to see what's out there, especially from christian writers, and exposure to other styles is always conducive to creativity. I also desire to improve on my own form and style and receive feedback from fellow writers. Reading through the posts y'all seem like a pretty cool crowd and I look forward to being a part of the community! God bless! :)
