Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Dave, and I am 28 (29 in Oct). I am a Chrsitian artist/writer. I have several published works of art. I have yet to publish a story. I love sci-fi, Thriller, and horror. I love to come up with great stories, however filling in the meat is hard. I have thought about doing a kids book with my own illustrations, or something different in Chrsitian books. I get tired of going into Christian book stores and seeing fiction books mostly based on the old west or something close to it. I think that is why I like Frank Peretti, because he does an area of Christian fiction you dont much see. I have tried to find a person to do joint writing with, however most people are too afraid of copy write problems or worse. I just think it would be cool to do a Thriller or sci-fi book with illustrations done by me. I have come in here looking for help on filling in the meat and meeting new Chrsitian writers.

Are you looking to write a cooperative piece, or do artwork?

I love a good story. I have many great book ideas. Just need help getting them to paper. Plus I can offer my services as an illustrator. :D

If you're into comics, Infuzemag.com has a comic program where they pair writers with artists.

I have tried the comic scene. First of all, it is going down the tubes. Dont get me wrong, I still love comics, still want to read them. But it is a very poor market to be in, and few make it. With my poor schedule, it is just easier and more enjoyable to be an illustrator and a graphic artist. The rewards are greater with comics if you can make it, but the rewards are quicker with the other. I tend to enjoy graphic design and illustration more. !thumbsup!
