Hi, everyone,
I just joined, obviously, and just wanted to say Hi. Here's my pertinent info: Married, late 30's, mother of two teen-agers, works part-time, homeschools. I just found out that I'm expecting my third child in Feb. I don't know why I signed on to this site, but for the fact that I have a headful of ideas and nowhere to take them. I will try to log-on often, but with this new event in my life, I find I need more and more naps, especially the hotter it gets outside :) Well, nice meeting you all.

P.S: I got disconnected in the middle of this, and got booted off the site, so....I hope this note doesn't get duplicated

alorralora,

I’m glad you found us. I’m new here also, and I’ve found folks to be friendly and helpful. I hope ity-bity permits mamma to visit often.

 On a twisted note: You may be surprised to know that despite being a manly man, I know what it is to be pregnant. In 1990, my wife was pregnant with our third child. We had just gone through a rough time where we had lost two babies in a row. When Caleb sprang to life inside her, I felt pregnant also. I had morning sickness (worse than hers), I even gained weight right along with her (65 lbs – she lost hers, but not me)

I was a youth pastor at the time, so naturally we had a lot of fun with it. The kids loved hearing about my latest trials and pregnancy related discomforts. The problem was, I really felt it. (ok... you got me... I'm mental) A few days before Darla popped the little curmudgeon out; I dreamt I was on Ophra as the first man to give birth.

I trust I didn’t scare you away. I hope to cya around these hallowed halls in the future.

I also am new but even newbies can benefit from others knowledge. May God be with you as you lead His children through their hard times. :o

Lovely to meet you and congrat's for the new one soon to bring joy. Look forward to seeing you around. Come as often as you can and keep cool. I know what it's light to carry in the summer heat, although, here in NZ it doesn't get as hot as the US.
All the best, :)

David,
that sounds way cool. :D I had never met a dad who had had morning sickness, but just in case there's a next time, try taking vitamin B6.
A few years ago, I read an article about an experiment done of some men volentars.
The men eat nothing that had B6 in it. They became so deficient in B6 that each of those men devoloped symtoms like morning sickness. When they were again given B6, all sickness left.
I have known preg' woman with morning sickness that have taken B6 and the sickness left them. (I haven't had morning sickness myself, as I keep up with my B6) Anyway, I'm not a Doctor.

Aloralora,

Welcome and congratulations on number 3! How old are your teens?

Do you write? If so, what kind of writing do you do?
