My sunday school lesson was about this verse and it really spoke to my heart and hit home. It's been on my mind ever since and I just wanted to share it. Hopeing someone else might get something out of it. This psalm is King David's repentence for what he did with Bath-sheba. Nathan came to him and told him a story about two men. The one man killed the others sheep. David said where is this man for he shall die. Nathan said you are that man. Giving reference to David and Bathsheba. Though David did this in secret thinking noone saw it, God saw it! And he sent Nathan to reveal it in the open. what we do in secrete always in one way or another comes out in the open. David also reaped what he sowed. His house was a mess after that. (evil, death, rape, murder, ect) During that time David could have been stoned to death for what he had done. but because he repented he didn't suffer that judgement. And God still used him. He was a man after God's own heart. When we fall and come short. God is waiting on us to turn to him. We repent with Godly sorrow. Get Forgiven and God can uses us again. We die daily to self. We have to keep that tight fellowship with him if we're ever gonna reach anyone through whatever talents God has given us. When we are pleasing to the Lord, he will give us the ability to help others.

Psalms 51 v 1-13
"Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy loving kindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleans me from my sin. For I aknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when yhou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother concieve me. Behold thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me know wisdom. Purge me with hyddop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken shall rejoyce. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee."

COOL!
That's what my Pastor was preaching on today, "Getting back your joy."! Create in me a clean heart and renew a RIGHT spirit within me! Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation! Joy comes from inside, from the heart. Rivers of living water. Pastor says that's what a sermon is, drinking from someone elses wells. !thumbsup!
God Is Good!
God Bless!

Simon Peter said to Him, "Lord, where are You going?"

Jesus answered him, "Where I am going you cannot follow Me now, but you shall follow Me afterward."

Peter sait to Him, "Lord, why can I not follow You now? I will lay down my life for Your sake."

Jesus answered him, "Will you lay down your life for My sake? Most assuredly, I say to you, the rooster shall not crow till you have denied Me three times. Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me."

(John 13:36-14:1)

At the darkest hour, and with Peter's coming betrayal revealed to him, Peter hears these words from the Lord Jesus, "Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me."

Every sin is a betrayal of the Lord Jesus, but He tells us, "Let not your heart be troubled." His ability to deal with the darkness of our heart is much greater than the darkness itself. He gives us the promise of forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9). So we can confess our heart to the Lord (He will not be shocked--He already knows what is in it), let Him take care of it, and move on in the joy of the LORD.
