Hi Fellow Writers

This ad, sent to me by a member of our writing group, was posted in Christianity Today. I sent for the info and they sent me the information. The stories are for their reading curriculm and have to follow certain rules and voculbary. They pay $25.00 per story for all rights. Anyway, just thought for anyone who would like to followup on this lead, here is the ad:

AUTHORS WANTED to write articles and short stories for children’s Christian reading program. For information e-mail rwhite@dslextreme.com <mailto:rwhite@dslextreme.com> .

for all rights.

That doesn't sound appealing, did the add say why?

DearPrudence,
No but I'm sure it's because the stories make up part of curriculm materials and it would make sense that they retain all rights, like buying it outright so there's never any conflict over royalties and the like.

Thanks!

It sounds intresting, but I like my rights to much to give them up ;)

I know what you mean. I thought the same thing, after working through all the guidelines, I figured it'd be too much work and would probably be a distraction.
