Thank you for your kind letter and interest. There is a young lady from Africa trying very hard to begin a Christian newspaper in Oklahoma. I haven't heard from her in a week or so.

Prayerfully, I hope to begin a Christian newspaper around the first of the year, God willing. The paper in Oklahoma has nothing to do with the paper I hope to begin. Is there any way you can post something on Christian Writers stating they are two different newspapers. I will answer any e-mails I receive, maybe not the same day, but as soon as I can.

This will not be a big company venture for me. Just one person being lead by God to do what I believe He wants me to do. I must tell you up front with the start up cost of the publication, I will not be able to pay you. Perhaps as the paper grows, I can do better later on. I do have a few writers who have agreed to accept $20 per article, but I have told most of them I will use their stories later on. With postal permits, printing, computer programs and such, the cost will be large. I am not trying to be cheap, just honest.

If after reading the above, you are still interested, I would like to receive an article or two from you at your convenience. I have a small link website explaining the upcoming paper.The link is below. Should you have further questions after reading it, please, advise. Thank you.

Yes, the two projects are unrelated. I also got a reply from sylviane. She is still planning on going ahead with HER project as well. Glad to be of help after such a long absence from the site. Will be posting and critiquing more.

I have had several email bits of correspondence with Jim on his new start-up venture.

I have been impressed with his vision and his willingness to step out in faith with something he has never done before. He is not a writer and has had no previous experience in publishing.

So if he doesn't get it all right, he has an excuse. I've helped him with a few copyright questions and issues related to first rights vs. one-time non-exclusive print rights.

He feels like it is all he can do to keep his head above water - I suspect that is true.

Even if you don't feel inclined to send Jim anything - at the very least pray for God's favor on his dream.

I apologize for my long absence from the site. To those I promised to send our writers' guidelines, I apologize too.
I had a very rough week-end and week, plus I had a few issues with my computer.
I will, however, send the writers' guidelines to those on my e-mail list by tomorrow.

I am in contact with Jim from South Carolina, also. We kind of "work together."

I also want you all to know that I am changing the publication from newspaper to magazine. The reasons why are because most (if not all) articles I received would fit better in a magazine, and the publication will only come out twice a month.
I will send a separate e-mail with more deatails to each of those who wrote to me.

Thanks to those who helped clarify the misunderstanding between Jim's newspaper and my magazine. I am also in contact with Jim.
