Greetings from Southwest Texas! My name is David Noland and I married with four children.

I recently completed work on my first book for publication and in the negotiation phase with an agent for representation to get it published. The title of the inspirational piece is The Cross We Bear. It’s a short book with a theme of encouragement for those struggling with harsh life circumstances. I am also working on two other books: The Prodigal Circus – a fictionalized, semi-autobiographical retelling of the parable of the Prodigal Son centered around the life of an orphan adopted by the owner of a circus who runs away from the circus to join the real world, and Elijah : A Journey Through the Wilderness of Sin, which revolves around the events following the Mt. Carmel episode in 1 Kings.

I was hoping that I could get any helpful suggestions for a good critique service that I can submit my work to for review so that I can polish up my work and make it ready for print. If you have any suggestions I would be truly grateful.

I look forward to conversing with you all… God bless you all. !thumbsup!

Welcome David Noland from Southwest Texas!

I am Ellenjames from Northeast Oklahoma. Come on in and join us. There are some writing experts here, and we all are here to help you.

Congratulations on your three books. I like take-offs on Bible stories i.e. The Prodigal Circus.

Elijah, A Journey Through the Wilderness of Sin and The Cross We Bear
sound like good books.

May God bless you in your writing.

Ellenjames

All is swell here in beautiful stormy SW Tejas... ARGH! On and off thunderstorms are driving me crazy....

Just took one of my girls out on an afternoon date and saw one of the stupidest movies I have ever seen. I'm not much into horror movies, but my 13-year-old wanted to see "Boogeyman" and we went. Started out a little scary but degenerated into sheer ludicrous retardation. Wasn't worth the $1.50 for the show...not to mention the popcorn was stale... YUCK!

Anyways, I look forward to writing with you guys and growing in my own skills.
