Melaleuca -- HELP!

Hello everyone,
_____My wife and I just got into this Melaleuca stuff. I keep bumping into people who already know about them, hate them, and have had bad dealings with them. I have even been told that some of their produects are dangerus.
_____I've had a link on my site to theirs for a month now, but I'm starting to reconsider it. So far, everything has been fine for me, but I wonder. I decided to ask you guys; anyone know anything about Melaleuca?

Melaleuca? Uh...as in the nasty tree that grows all over south Florida? Import from Australia that didn't work out?

_____Melaleuca has also been the name of a company for the past ten years or more. They use parts of the plant to make healthy food supliments, shampoo, dishwashing liqued, and just about all the normal household things including make up.

Really? That's weird since most people down here are allergic to the stupid plant. It's like making soap out of poison ivy....funnnnneeeee....
