:D I love the outdoors-the wind in my face and the smell of salt on the breeze. I miss the beach and the thunder of its storms. The slap of hooves on wet sound.
When I long for these things and places, but can't get there, I thank my Lord that He gave me words to write. Pictures to draw.
When I long for those wide open places, I send my characters there and live it through them.
Who else does that? Who else enjoys this escape that we call writing?
And art is the same. Although lately I find creating pictures with words, far more inviting.
I praise God, that He has created us to see such beauty. He takes each one of us to our own special gardens to spend time alone with Him. Isn't He grand?! :)

Well,
this is great :D I'm standing in a corner talking to myself. Guess no one else is in the place I'm in? Perhaps I'm mad using my book to take me to far away places and sandy shores? Perhaps I'm the only one who has no money to take time away from the every day pace.
When wide open places call, am I the only one who goes there on the carpet of a page?
Am I the only one who's imagination can live, can feel, can breathe?

:D Hi there,

As I sit here with choco cake mix splattered across my favorite white shirt wondering why my kitchen appliances decided to attack on this day of all days, I am pondering your question.

When the world has become too much for me to take in, yes, I do go into my world. The world of wide open spaces, plush kelly green grass, wildflowers, birds chirping, and the animals come to me as if I were one of them. This is the world of perfection for me, all of God's creatures as one. Peace, serenity only to be broken by they yell of a child, "Mama, what ya doin?"

That is when it hits me. My life is the way it is supposed to be, the perfection is right in front of me :). No, you are not alone

MamaCB, Hi :)
I love the picture you drew of the attacking appliance :D hope you get the cake mix off your shirt, out of your hair and cleaned off the kitchen walls. :D
Children are a blessing from the Father, if not for them, perhaps I'd sit here and dream too long. Have a great day and thanks for dropping by. !thumbsup!
I'm in little old New Zealand, where abouts are you?
Rulan

I am in the heartland of Ohio. And this cake mix appears to be pretty permanent LOL! I am going to change clothes, but thank the Lord I don't have to be at this party. It is a guys only (time to talk about work and complain, eat and tell jokes) So, I will hide out in my office :o
