You're welcome, Brian. !thumbsup! I really liked the depths of the discussion the angels had, and well, you read the review! There were just a few small nuances I would have envisioned differently, for example, your "serpent" is quite unique from the standard way people would envision the creature, but this made the read more interesting anyway. I also would picture Lucifer's attitude, especially near the end of the book as one that would want to place himself above God or to replace God, based on the Bible verses I've read about his attitude. I'll have to find and read them again though, as maybe I'm wrong in my memory of what they exactly say. Or maybe you will continue his slide into depravity and attitude in the next books. ;) I changed a line in the review that didn't come across right when I reread it, so you may want to read it again.
I plan to buy the other three novels soon from Amazon. They are on my wish list now and I may order them after I finish writing today. Except the day I took off from writing to read your first novel, I have been averaging around 3000 words a day. I would like to thank you for helping inspire me to get my butt back in gear and finish book three. :D
My first novel is about twice the length of a regular novel, so you will find it will take longer to read. You may also find my style more gritty and violent in some areas than your own style, but I hope you like it anyway.
Thanks,
Shane

Hi dude--
I described the serpent in those terms because the Bible describes him as one of the most cunning of the beasts of the field--the same word used earlier in the creation of the other beasts of the field--which usually deals with mammal type critters. So rather than go with the dragonish King James idea of a serpent/snale, I went with the more appealing creature that is exploited by Satan. For whatever reason and however he looked, the serpent was advanced in comparison to the other animals and therefore of greater use perhaps to Lucifer's plans.
As to his motivation against God, I used the Isaiah idea of wanting to be like the Most High--so I wrote in the book in various parts and in that one soliloquy where Lucifer says something to the effect of "I will never be greater than You--but I can be like you..."
Thanks again for the write up!

I read over the Isaiah verses and see what you mean. :)
What have you been doing lately?
I am still working on my third book. I have finished chapter twenty-five and I'm at 148,413 words at the moment. I should only have a few chapters left to go.
I ordered your other three books from Amazon. I should have them by Friday or Saturday.

Shane man--
I am so jealous! I really need to get writing and am drifting between three projects. Hopefully tomorrow I will get back on track. Right now I'm just getting started--50+ pages on Book 5. Thanks for ordering man. I'm still working on your book. Good stuff/ I'll write a review when I finish. Take care and keepwriting.

What's up, Brian? How's your writing going?
I'm into chapter twenty-seven at 156,239 words at the moment. I shouldn't have more than two or three chapters left. I'm nearing the book's finale, then I usually have a wrap-up chapter. I'm glad you're enjoying my first novel.
Talk to you later,
Shane
