Has anyone here written any skits or plays? I wondered if there would be any interest in sharing them with each other for critique? Just curious.

I have about 200 archived at our drama ministry First Acts and Sermon Starter Theater. In fact I just finished one last night called CSI: A Land Faraway. I've had good success in a variety of styles, but this is a fractured fairy tale (no real meaning - just fun). I've had other fractured fairy tales that I've written performed at major universities, schools and presented internationally - so I thought it was time for another.

I love this part of our ministry so much I chose the ministry as my screen name (mystery solved).

Double cool! Playwriting is my first love as is the theatre. I started dance training when I was 4 and have danced (ballet, tap, jazz) for most of my life. We had a drama team in Oregon and performed all over the state. When I started seriously writing, I wrote songs and plays, comedy being my favorite. I don't have the amount of material you do, but most of what I've written has been performed. Good to know there's another thespian aboard. !thumbsup!

I had the lead in plays in both jr. high and high school. Surprisingly, I'd rather write than perform these days. It actually started when my wife (a teacher) needed a drama for her second grade to perform. I'd never written a drama script before but I was the object of last resort - so eight years ago I wrote my first script. Four years ago we started First Acts and the scripts continue on. One of my good friends is John McNeil who owns dramatix.com. He has used almost 100 of our scripts on his site and has widened the exposure.

God is good,

Glenn :)
