Hello everyone,

I'd like to announce three improvements made to the Writers' Workshop area.

1) By popular request, the main Writers' Workshop has split into fiction and nonfiction sections for easier navigation. Please post your work accordingly.

2) The workshops (Nonfiction, Fiction, and Poetry) are now closed to public viewing, and available only to registered members. This should help alleviate concerns of publicly viewable work being considered published. As always, your target publisher's definition of "published" may vary, so be sure to check their guidelines first!

3) All entries will auto-expire after 60-90 days. This is to keep ancient critiques from resurfacing and burying the newer projects.

As always, please feel free to leave feedback to this thread, and thanks for your support! :)

I take it the auto-expire starts counting down old posts from the day you started it?

Yes, that's the way it should work. :)

So what happens to our submissions in the past that are now no longer visible? Can we use them for other groups? Thanks!

Hi Howarddygo,

CW doesn't own the entries in any way. You've always been welcome to use them wherever you'd like. The workshops serve only as a virtual critique group. :)
