deliverance

I'm seeking to be free
from bondage to drugs
Jesus says to trust him
and just wait and see.

The devil will come as he always does
to tempt me with fear
and make me afraid
But Jesus says trust me
and comes to my aid.

I've done this many times and failed miserably
I need him to deliver me
and then I'll be free.

It seems like a mountain and looks oh so dim
when my eyes are off him
the path is narrow and slim.

My friends tell me to pray and make my stand
it's the only way to win
he's the truth and the way
my Lord goes before me forgiving my sin.

As long as my focus is on Jesus I'll win
he's my only hope in this battle I'm in.
The Lord knows my heart
if sincere we won't part
soon you won't have to worry
satan's run out of darts.
