I know that they have a name already and that alone carries alot of weight....but if what you have is fiction ... and it is Christian in nature...hey try a new up and comer mag...Right now I am calling it... "P.S." A Magazine of Christian Fiction - A post-Script to Modern Culture. Check out www.achristianlifecoach.com and there are instructions for submission. If you don't want to -that is fine. I wil pray that one day you get on with the Glimmer Train.

Brother Dave, I'm sorry to hear that. I know how much Glimmer Train meant to you.

All I can say is wear it like a badge, proof that you're out doing what 99% of the world's would-be writers never do. I've had a few heartbreaks along the way. All I can tell you is what you already know, keep trying and don't ever let the enemy steal the joy and purpose you feel from writing.

Thanks for encouragement, my friends.
I suppose I can play loosly in quoting Job, "Though the editor slay me, yet will I praise Him!"

The blind man is not dead, but continues to run to the finish line!

Hi brotherdave,

Most of us here know about rejections! I have many saved in my file cabinet -- almost all I've ever received! So we'll commiserate with you a bit, and then we will go on. Remember your writing may be just what the next editor wants! Of course, you know this already!

You have sold some articles. I rejoice with you!

I live in hope that my picture book I'm sending to a contest will win.

You've encouraged others; not it's our turn to encourage you! !thumbsup!

God bless.

$10.00, $8.00 for any additional entry. Deadline February 28, 2005.
You can find the information at www.smartwriters.com

"Never, Never Give Up!" Sometimes we have to redirect and regroup, but never give up. I remember reading about Churchill when I was young. Speaking to a graduating class, who knew those 4 words would be quoted again and again. So Brother Dave, be comforted. I had this conversation with a friend yesterday, we talked about giving up too soon. Sometimes God just asks us to extend ourselves one more time or a little more and He reaches down and lifts us up. God bless.

There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.-- Colin Powell

Thanks for the scriptural reminder. Have you ever felt faint and fallen back only to have Jesus catch you in his arms?

beloved,
Along this journey, it is better this way. This is what I've found about dream: visions are first rejected before they are accepted! dreams are first drenched with all fears, riddicules and threats before they are dimmed success! rejected vision will only become accepted vision if only you will not just let go. and dreched dream will only become the dream if only we can admit a bit to patience and persisitence.

every greatness will always begin in a small way. Do not be disturbed by the set of first attempts, they are just that way slow, small and simple, but the speed and size will get go greatly higher if you will not fail.

just keep trusting Him who gave the vision, He has never fail once, he cannot fail in yours.
seek best in all, Conviction about what vision you have received. wait well to learn the next of direction for i believe, experience is limited but guidiance will never fail.

seek a little time out, for every calling will have a pattern. Noah's ark was because there was a set of pattern given by God and such cannnot be copied out. moses did have a patteren , and that must not be copied out either. He, God is author of every blessed wisdom, but he got you conceived the dream, He already have the conclusion of the dream in His plans, the question is How. I mean How.

I beleive you can. for all these dreams that are blessing to entire world, the church and individaul just started the way you have yours, And the caller is well able.
I can go hanging in His hand for it doesn't matter, what laws of the world says. you won't just fall.
keep trusting. :)
