There is another fiction magazine that has placed 'writer's wanted' ads here it is also named "Parables". Now to keep them straight. :)

I am looking for short stories ....not my shorts. The maga-zine will be called ParableS and I am not trying to step on another title that exists elsewhere. (In Fact, who has a mag titled "Parables") The title that I am using will have an unique look....I really did not know that there were so many of us out here in the great bandwidth in the sky....see ya. Oh, by the way, I am still working on my website....some of it looks pretty cheesy. :D

OK, Everyone, Please forgive me. I looked at all the right places (I think) except for checking on URLs - There is an E- Magazine called Parables....I do know that titles can not be copyrighted. However, I will consider and most likely change the name of the Mag/Rag that I am going to produce. Wow. I will tell you that they have a nice site !thumbsup! and they are further along than me in the production of their magazine. I sent them an apology. My hope is that we can all work together for the glory of God. (I think that there is enough room for it). I am still looking for your story to publish. Who am I...someone who wants to read, write and publish.I am also someone who wants to help you. I am not in this to make a ton of money - I do want to survive. OK....so this means I have to change the title..thus a little of the concept as well....God Bless. Keep smiling.
So go to: www.achristianlifecoach.com to see what I am looking for in your submission.

Not trying to create waves, just thought you might want to know before you got too far into this thing called publishing. I have a weekly email service, for a long time it was known as "The Encourager". Within a short period of time I found six services that all had begun to use "Encourager" in the title and people were getting confused. Instead of asking them to change their newer names, I changed mine. It was a good move by the way (Barnabas Chronicles).
Now on to what you are looking for. I understand it's fiction, is there a specific style you're looking for, word count restrictions, subject matter, include morals - etc. I'm assuming it's Christian based fiction you're after.
I may be able to supply you with something.
I brought up the other issue if only because I have been published in the other Parables.
Are you looking for help in finding a new title for your mag - maybe the folks here at CW can help you come up with some possibilities.
Thinking out loud,
Glenn !thumbsup!

Thanks Glen. I appreciate the encouraging comments and thoughtfullness. I will give it some thought as to asking others to assist me in finding a name for it....I have one website...the way I have named it refers to the life coaching biz that I started. I am also using it as a plateform to advertise the mag.... On two of the pages I have all the information that a writer would want to know...Even if I get only a few stories in the initial issue - to include mine and possibly a story from my son - I will publish it and send it to the subscribers and keep alot as a marketing tool. So far, CW is a great resource - I am sure that I will learn alot from everyone and everyone will get a chance to see a Magazine grow from an idea to a finished project. By the way, the other Parables looks good. :)
