Hello,

For those who don't know me, I am the director of a media ministry based in the United States. Christian Media Inc. will turn 24 years old this coming March and has provided a variety of ministry resources through contemporary media. It all began with radio but has gone well beyond this form of media.

We provide many writing opportunites. Although we can not pay for the use of the material it has proven to be a good way for many to increase their portfolio and gain some visibility.

Cross-Times

A print publication that is sent to locations across the U.S. as well as a variety of other countries.

Generally speaking we are looking for articles of intentional encouragement. We usually do not publish hard news stories or political action stories. We have two categories for word count 1) 350 words or less and 700-750 words. We publish monthly so feel free to submit anytime.

Kindred hearts Poetry

Many people have expressed a desire to find a location to showcase their poetry. We provide only original poetry to our growing on-line subscribers (no cost). We have worked with nearly 50 different poets over the past two years and the poetry is placed on our website CMI after the work is sent to subscribers.

First Acts Drama Ministries

We have sent over 200 drama scripts (long and short) to our subscribers (also a free service) over the past four years. The scripts have been translated into at least five languages that we know of. I heard over the past week from both China and Indonesia along with many other locations across the U.S. and Canada that are using some of our Christmas material.

Photos 4 Him

Are you an avid photographer? Do you have a scenic photo that you think might be useful? P4H has served subscribers for three years in providing a scenic photo with Scripture artfully imposed on the print.

To submit a photo for consideration: photos4him@writesoon.com

Thanks for your consideration and may God bless your gift of writing.

CMI General Director

Is there a web site? I tried to google Christian media inc and a not sure if the two sights I found are the right ones. I, for one, would feel very uncomfortable submitting "free" work to a magazine or company/publisher I could not reasearch. I tried to find out what "writesoon" was but came up with nothing. I'm not sure what to think. Could you give more info.

Dr.Rita,

Understandable. www.kcmi.cc is our website. You'll need to check out Barnabas Chronicles. This is our email distribution of the material. You will see Cross-Times on the site, however, it typically is for the lead story only and hasn't been updated in some time. You can also check out Photos 4 Him, Kindred Hearts, First Acts, Sermon Starter Theater and Something To Think About while you're there. Browse to your hearts content.

Thanks for asking.

Glenn :)

Oh, and writesoon.com is an extension of mailblocks (A spam busting email service owned by AOL). I receive more than 100 emails a day so I had to do something about the increasingly large amount of spam I was encountering. It would have been nice to use our ministry name, but....

Just wanted to testify to what a blessing it's been to contribute (voluntarily) to Cross-Times and what a ministry this print pub is to the Christian community! I've been published in the 10/04, 12/04 and 1/05 issues. Brother Glenn (Hi, Glenn!) has such a heart for the Lord Jesus Christ, for His sheep, and for God-gifted writers. I encourage everyone's prayerful submission of your work!

Thanks for letting me share,
Laurel

I certainly wouldn't be opposed to looking at it - we have only done photos to date (the ministry is four years old) but I'd be wrong not to take a look.

I have to check this out myself when I have more time. Right now, I'm forced to be patient on publishers responses to my work being made into a gift book. You guys can have a look see. Jesus loves you. :)
