On behalf of everyone here at ChristianWriters.com, I'd like to extend a big cheer of "Congratulations!" to our very own Merry (Michel Archer). Her short story, "One More Christmas Eve (http://www.praize.com/christmas/contest2004/onemore.html)," was selected as a first place winner in the Praize Christmas 2004 Writing Contest (http://www.praize.com/christmas/contest.html).
Great work, Merry!! We're so proud of you!! :D

Yes, sir, O Angelically inclined one. Sorry, I meant 'dude.' Er, wait actually...we need an Aramaic word for 'loud, gumbling, bear...' :D :D
Really, thanks, everybody!

So, if Angel is interested in pummeling, and Merry is interested in Skydiving - and if Angel can also fly through the air with the greatest of ease. Does it not seem reasonable that Merry should be concerned a bit about a mid air pummeling?
Just thinking.

Doesn't it seem ironic, nay funny (as in peculiar not gut busting hilarious) that no matter what forum a person participates in almost anywhere in the world the ultimate end of almost any well visited thread is never the same as when it started.
Take this thread for instance - it started out as a lovely tribute to Merry, the author of all things beautiful with Christmas. It was honoring and, I just noticed, a thread from 2003 (oops).
Yet it ends with flying angels who pummel skydivers without warning and apparently unprovoked.
What a conundrum. I shall have to ponder this further when my mind can stand the strain.
(Mumbles as he leaves the board)

I say we draft this man into the Bat Cave. We could learn from him.

Thanks for the kind words and, while it may be lovely visiting a bat cave sometime, I would like some previous notification so as not to visit with shoes that I might like. Nasty things - those bats.
To my discredit, I have been known to nudge a thread in a different direction. Can you keep a secret? Sometime I even do it on pupose! Well, there you have it - in print.
I do hope the fall of mankind doesn't rest on such an irresistable urge.
Glenn :)

You see, in the Bat Cave we often live to do just this sort of thing. Maybe we're testing material, maybe checking our ability to throw a curve, or maybe we just don't have a life, whatever, we seem to derive considerable enjoyment from just such carrying on. So you would be certainly welcome and shoes? Why we doan' need no stinking shoes.... :D
AngelAzariah

_____Amen, we don't need no stinking shoes, we don't need the stink, and we don't need the shoes! We require one thing, a nice cushy butt to sit on.

Holy inhabitants of granite tombs, Bat Girl - this is more exciting than a night of novacaine induced tooth extractions. An invitation into the Cave? Woo Hoo.
Is spandex required. The closest thing I have to a mask is a Micky Mouse cap.
Bat Cave? Who knew?
Glenn

A Mickey Mouse cap is fine. Just nothing too scary like say a Clinton mask or anything..
