New Members posting

I read in the Writer's Workshop that there is a probationary period for new members to be able to submit writing. How long is that probationary period for?

Ten posts. But you may reply to as many posts as you wish before you reach ten posts.

Please don't make ten random or useless posts just to round out your probationary period. ;) The spirit of the rule is to encourage participation, not to punish.
