I just wanted to share perhaps one of the best devotionals ever written. For those of you who have a copy of "My Utmost for His Highest" by Oswald Chambers and read it often, you know what I mean. Here is a link for the daily devotional and other info about Chambers.

I also highly recommend his biography "Abandoned to God."

Thanks for the website, Doc. I've never read "My Utmost for His Highest" before, it's great having it 'right there.' Thanks!

I've just recently gone back to using "My Utmost for His Highest" as my daily devotional and the focus for my quiet time. Every time I read Chambers' work, I'm just blown away by the reality of what he's written. The last couple of days he's been focusing on obedience and I have to say that I wish I'd learned those things years ago. The reality is that obedience brings freedom.

You are so right. I've been reading his devotional for almost 15 years and I believe his writing has made a bigger impact on my life than any other writer. I love how he cuts through all the surface garbage and zeros in on the core issues. I'm always challenged to seek a deeper relationship through those few paragraphs. !thumbsup!

Thanks for the website. A new Christian bookstore just opened down the street and I'm going to see if I can find the book. Can anyone recommend a devotional for single Mom's, I'm looking for one for a friend?

In my opinion, there is no better daily devotional for any Christian, single mom or married grandfather than My Utmost for His Highest. I would recommend it hands down for anyone. It will challenge the reader for his/her entire Christian life.
