God, thanks for one more day. Thanks for days like today, that feel like Christmas, even when it isn't. Thanks for bad times that make you glad when glad when good times come. Thanks for breathing, and good friends and your Word above all. Thanks for everything!

I'm thankful for this forum and all the people in it. For my children and grandchildren. Im thankful for Jesus most of all. With Thanksgiving coming up, it's a good time to prepare my thank you list......... :)

Here's an excercise in thankfulness that the Lord gave me one day a few months ago. He asked me to thank him for EVERYTHING I came in contact with for the whole day, including all the things I normally take for granted (like the shower, water, shampoo, etc.). I obeyed and for the whole day I contstantly thanked him for everything I saw, touched, experienced and so on. It was an awesome day. I can't tell you how much I felt blessed by just his gracious mercies in my "humdrum" everyday life. I didn't have time to whine! I was too busy thanking Him. For an extra, extra blessed day, try it. God is soooo awesome.

I agree. Thanksgiving is not something we do when it's convenient, or when we feel like it. Our situations can change instantly. We must have a thankful heart no matter what our condition! Therefore, let me add my 2 cents by saying thank God for His every blessing on me!

I feel like singing...'There is none like you...no one ever touched my heart like
you do....I could search for all eternity long and find, there is none like you...' :)

Let me shout God's name with a praising song,
Let me tell his greatness in a prayer of thanks.
Psalm 69:30
I am speechlessly grateful for my salvation. My awesome Daddy God brought me from hopeless despair to abundant hope and joy.
I am humbly thankful for the incredible gifts and talents He has blessed me with...and I want so very very much to honor Him in all I do.
I am overwhelmed with tears of gratitude for family and friends...for it wasn't that long ago that I was completely estranged from my family and hated people so much that I had absolutely no friends.
I am honestly thankful for the firey furnace and the refining it is working in my heart.
I am gratefully awed by my Daddy God's faithfulness to His Word and His promises and that He is blessing me exceedingly abundantly above all I can ask or think.

And today is a good day to remember my own thread. No matter what crazy things we self-wise adults can come up with, the word of the Lord is all that matters.
"...mountains fall down and the seas will roar at the sound of His name, I sing for joy at the work of His hands, forever I'll love Him, forever I'll stand...nothing compares to the promise I have in You....nothing compares to the promise I have...in You..."

Amen. Everyday is a day of thanksgiving. I truly thank the Lord for His goodness and mercy. I thank Him for His many blessings. I thank Him for watching over and protecting my family and me. Most of all, I thank Him for saving me. He did not have to do that. He could have let me die in my sins. :D
