View Full Version : We No Longer Regard Anyone From A Worldly Point of View...

When we come to the Lord and live and grow and serve and suffer for a while, something happens to us...we gradually see the world through a different set of eyes.

This affects the way we see many things--individual people, the world, and even life itself.

The more we see the glory of God and the reality of Heaven, the less that we regard others with a worldly point of view. Every person is a beautiful creation of God, no matter their appearance, talent level, personality, and so on. They are fearfully and wonderfully made.

At the same time, each one is a sheep or a goat in the realm of Eternity, and that is all that's really going to matter.

The more we see and taste and touch the Heavenly realities, the less we see people and things in a worldly way; rather, we see everything around us reflecting the reality of God, Jesus, and the angels...

The song says, "Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace." If that isn't a direct quote, I hope it's close enough to confirm what was said in your thread. In other words, "Amen" to your thoughts. When we begin to gaze into the face of God, even the hurts and disappointments that other people cause us will seem insignificant. I find that my "feelings" don't get hurt near as much when I'm looking at Jesus. After all, it's difficult to hurt someone who has been crucified with Christ! Blessings on you, goodycoug.

How wonderfully relevant this is in my current struggle. Thank you both for posting your thoughts.

Indeed. Growing never ends does it? :)
