Submitted a script to Bravo Network's Sitcom contest. Deadline was Sept 18.
I suprised myself with the ease at which the words flowed to the page. Finished the script, had some entertainer friends comment on it, and then I shipped it off a week early.
The script is called "Albacore," and brings WKRP and NewsRadio into the 21 century. Its all about the studio staff of a right wing talk show host. Really crazy characters and lots of clean fun.
I hope it stays that way. Part of the contest entry contest says you have to give up all "moral" rights to your script. And Bravo isnt the cleanest network. Is that scary or what?
Well pray for favor, please.
And if I get favor I have to move to LA for 10 weeks to film the reality show it is part of. Not too far from Vegas, but 10 weeks with no paycheck is rough.$25,000 goes to the winner, with a contract with agent.
I'll let you all know if I hear anything. Even if I don't win, it was an adventure putting the script together!
