Okay, I should know better than to recommend books before I get all the way to the end. But I've read Earley's other work and am confident it will end well...likely extraordinarily well!
I resisted reading this one for a long time because it didn't seem like 'my kinda book.' But sometimes a writer is so good that it doesn't matter. This is one of those times.
One of my favorite quotes about the book is this: "The apparent casualness of the plot masks the extraordinary craft." This ain't bad either: "Radiant, knowing, pitch-perfect...A swift, lovely book."
And don't take my word for it. Rather, bop into a bookstore, find the Tony Earley section, then read all the blurbs on the back and the inside cover. Or better yet, read the book!
