I stumbled across this Forum during a search for a literary agent; it has been quite a while since I've had any writing published and one of the last was some "ghost writing" for an internationally known figure (you didn't really think they did all their writing themselves, did you?), so I am very much out of the loop.

I retired last year from a 29-year career in fire fighting, finished a doctorate of ministries, and am currently teaching as an adjunct at the Florida campus of Trinity International University. I also serve as an assistant pastor at a church in my area.

Most of my published writing (not counting a doctoral dissertation) was in the field of fire fighting, but my real passion is the Bible and it is this arena in which I am currently looking for a literary agent.

John, this site is a great place to find encouragement, advice, critiques, and the occasional moment of fall-off-your-chair laughter. There are folks here who know a lot about a lot, or a little about the one thing you're seeking. As for agents, there are some posts here that can point you toward other resource lists, too.

Welcome, and please don't let the singing chicken scare you away.
