I love the net and my debit card. I just ordered hubby a pizza and paid for it with my debit card. I looked up the pizza place on line, found the phone number of the Truck repair shop he's now at on line. He has no cash so I paid for his
pizza for him. I love my gadgets. It's so cool. I'm over 800 miles away and I took hubby out for Lunch. SO COOL!!!

What has your Gadgets done for you to make your life easier. Do you fear giving our your debit card number. Do you order on line. Do you live in what I call the Internet Zone. Where most everything you do is done on line.

I pay my bills on line, i call a number and put my money into the bank, I do most of my shopping on line. I live in the Internet Zone Do you?

That was cool, Jacks! I don't use a debit or credit card. I use a pre-paid card and keep a small amount in it. When empty, I fill it up or get another one. If someone wanted to steal from my number, good luck! I have only paid for a couple of things online, things that were not otherwise payable.

That's great Jacks. I'm sure hubby appreciated it!

Hey Lynn that's a great idea. Can you use the pre-paid card to purchase anywhere or is it limited?

Thanks!

Anywhere, as far as I know. It's basically the same as a debit card, only a skunk can't withdraw all the money from your account! As a side note, though, it costs about $5 to get one, depending on the amount you want to put into the card. That's a cheap safety lock to me!

I pay my bills online, and hardly ever use a phone book because the internet seems so much easier.

I pay for online purchases with a credit card. I am a bit afraid of using a debit card, and do not have one. My sister's boyfriend is a professional hacker AKA Computer security expert and insists that debit cards are not safe. He hacks into computer systems to find security risks for companies. Yes, that's a job, apparently a very good job. Anyways, he says that debit cards are not a secure way to pay for items. I don't exactly know why they would be riskier than credit cards, but he says they are. I will try to get more facts the next time I see him. I think his job makes him paranoid. My parents only have debit cards and no credit cards. I don't think they shop online very much.

Jacks,
That's the best use of the internet and debit card that I EVER heard of. You certainly are a person close to the heart of God. !thumbsup!

We have a separate credit card with a low credit limit (though they keep trying to raise it!) that is the only one we use online, and don't use it for any other purposes. So when the bill comes, it's very easy to see if there is anything funky on it ... and the low credit limit lowers the damage that COULD be done.
