Dearest Friends here on the forum.
I've come to consider you all friends because we not only share the same Lord, spirit, faith but because we all write about the same Lord, spirit, faith and encourage one another along the way. I want to ask for your prayers as our mission team heads off to India for a 3 1/2 week trip to establish our long prayed for girl's home in the wonderfully beautiful state of Kerala in southern India. We are so excited!! But as many of you know, the enemy wants to put a stop to any effort to spread God's work and we need all the prayers you can get. I may not get an opportunity to check into the forum while I'm away but if I have a chance I'll send along a progress report. Keep dry, cool and writing like crazy.
In His Service,

Mr. Otis

Dearest Dr Rita....just wanted to let you know that you were especially in my prayers this morning. I pray that you are safe and well....and that you are walking through many open doors of favour in your presentation of the gospel in a dark land. I look forward to your report upon your return! May protective angels surround you and may the Spirit guide you. Much love.

Dearest Friends.
I first want to thank you for all your prayers, I felt them and believe me we needed all we could get. It is a very dangerous thing to travel outside of our protected society. Without Christ, we are all so much devil bait.

India is a mixture of beauty, mystery and cultural differences set in a world of poor sanitation, rampant disease, wide spread poverty and religious oppression. Here, Christians are protected and we are allowed freedom to practice our religion as we wish. There the Muslim and Hindu are protected and Christians are left alone as long as they don't try to evangelize others. While we were there we weren't allowed to go out without an escort, witness openly, give out tracts nor speak to Hindus and Muslims of Christ. We had to be careful because we would not only become suspect but would endanger those churches in India who we were ministering to.

We had a wonderful time however, ministering, learning and just being amongs Christians whose focus is truly Christ. We here are so self centered and self serving as a church it sickens me. The Hindus worship idols of demonic origin; here we look in the mirror and find the object of our worship!

Anyway, I will share more in the days to come. The church in India greets you. Keep them in your prayers as they battle against insurmountable foes in their push to spread the gospel.

We are glad you're back. Yes Please share with us. We may never be able to go there and hearing of the plight of other brothers and sisters can help us get our feet back on the ground so to speak.
