Hi there, CW friends.

This week I have spent some time in the hospital. For reasons too complicated to go into now, my congestive heart failure had returned full-blown, with the lower half of my body having swelled to twice its size. I hadn't realized that drinking a lot of water on 10 consecutive days of 90-100 degree July heat would cause such severe bloating.

So I checked myself into the emergency room, and stayed in the hospital nearest me for four days, and I just got out. I have two appointments to return, so I still need prayer, but now I have to restrict myself more closely than I have been. Praise God I came through it alive, if not a bit worse for wear.

So Jacks, you can put away your radar. I'm back, albeit on Mom's laptop computer tonight. 777, as soon as I get back on my own computer, I promise to start sending you more chapters and critiques. Everyone else, I was anxious to return because I love you all so much, and I knew you would be worried. The Lord has been with me very strongly this week, and I know that with your faithful prayers, He will see me through this crisis.

I hope you have all been behaving yourselves while I was gone. :D

Well my goodness!!!!!!! I had noticed your absence but I always think folks are on vacation, writing hard, have company or just need a break. I am so sorry to hear that you have been in the hospital :( BUT, am glad to know you are out now and okay... You have my prayers LU.

As Xenia said, I kind of assumed a vacation, too. SOME VACATION!!! True, you didn't have to cook, or clean, or take out the trash, but still... welcome back!

I hope they have everything under control for you now. It's amazing how something so good for your body (water) can still manage to wreak havoc.

Yeah, they call it edema. It would have become pulmonary edema if I hadn't gone when I did and possibly have killed me. But I did go, and it's under control now, thank God.

Dave, glad to know you're out of the hospital, but sorry to hear you were there in the first place! Get well soon!

I'm all right. Wednesday I got the battery in my defibrillator replaced, so my left shoulder is still a little sore from that procedure. Also, my attendance here may be a little sporadic for awhile as my situation is calling for some major changes in my life--including a move across town to Lakewood. Keep up the good prayers.

You can bank on those prayers LU. What is Lakewood?
Good to hear from ya... :)

Another suburb of Denver, near the foothills.

Oh! Wheeeew! For some reason I thought Lakewood sounded like a rehab center or something... silly me :p
