Here's another book reader. Looks cool. Called the Readius, it's the size of a cell phone but opens out to a 5 inch screen. It will come out this fall in Europe and early in 2009 in the US. Unfortunately, they say it will be more expensive than the Kindle.

What are your thoughts on it?

It looks neat but I guess I'm stuck in my ways. I like to hold an actual book or magazine in my two hands. I love the smell of the pages. I like to turn the pages as I progress in the story and when done pass it along to someone else...

Thanks for the update, Lynn. It's interesting to explore the new technology. But I'm with you, Xenia. The feel, the weight, the smell of the pages...all are part of reading pleasure. Elaine

Me, too. I know we've discussed this before when the Kindle came out but I thought this contraption was very interesting. However, it would be fun to give it a try.

Yeah it does sound interesting... but over $350? No way!
Not when I could read ebooks on my computer if I wanted. :)

Does sound interesting, but as everyone else said, I think I like the feel of a book in my hand, the smell and the flexibility of a paperback. Thanks for the info though. Who knows, it may just be a great gift for someone.
