I am starting the process of creating a book trailer.

I would like to find video footage of old west themes - cowboys, stagecoaches, horses etc. But prices are pretty outlandish - found one sight and the cheapest I could get footage was $1000.00+ per clip! I figured I would need at least 3 or 4 clips.

So then I'm wondering about just doing a slideshow presentation type trailer.

Anyhow, if you have experience with this sort of thing and would be willing to give me some pointers, I would really appreciate it.

Check out my two trailers on www.myspace.com/drrita
If you like them I can give you a couple of tips.

Thanks, Doc.

I really liked the one you did for your novel, Quismet.

The thing that is frustrating me is finding public domain music to download (looking for really cheap or free - in the right 'genre') and finding the right type of pictures. I've pretty much given up on using video footage for right now. So I will just go to using pictures, like you did for yours. I've pulled some off of flickr/creativecommons, but would appreciate pointers towards other places to find free pictures.

Did you use windows movie maker to create yours?
