Happy 4th of July to you all! I wish you all a wonderful day full of family, friends, barbecues, fun and fireworks.

Also, a special greeting to our military, at home and overseas. God bless you! We greatly appreciate your service to our country.

I realize our members are from across the globe, but couldn't resist a little celebration for my homeland. :D God bless each of you and your homelands on this day, too! !thumbsup!

I have some good news!! Really good news.

Yesterday I get Good News. From a more than reliable source in homeland security I hear that our borders are more protected than we know. If American’s knew how safe our borders really are we would not have to be so concerned. The border agents are at work-successful work. They are catching terrorist bringing large amount of cash into the country to fund terrorist organizations in our country. Yip Yee!! Go Border Agents!!!!!!

If anyone thinks America is defeated they might want to look elsewhere for their nightly news. We are not defeated. We are strong. We are not divided. We are united. Yes, we have so crazies that make the news but America is still America!!!

Last night my hope for my country came back to me. Hope that I was loosing due to the 24/7 liberal media. I watched Direct TV’s Praise for America special. There she was--the America I know and love. I commend Direct TV for showing this over and over and over. The America I saw on the show is the America I see around me, the America I live in. Not the strange land I see on the news.

Huge Mass Choirs from all over the country singing praises to God for our country. Recognizing that Freedom is a gift from God. Recognizing God!! Now that is the America I know.

I saw thousands of Christians standing up singing and praising God. Supporting the troops, their families, veterans and the war against terror!! We don’t want to be in this war but we have to defend our country,

Christians all over America were showing how proud they are of our country and on the principles of Christianity in which she stands--ONE NATION--UNDER GOD. We are America. We still stand!! Our flag still waves. Our country—America—is blessed beyond measure.

The Media is not reflective of this real America. They just are not. We need to face this and move past it. Until they get with the real America they remain out of touch with the reality of America.

I Pledge My Allegiance to God, to His Word, and to this great nation. We are America.

People who watch the news 24/7 and believe everything they say are one day (soon) going to be very surprised by the America that really truly exist!!

Celebrate that America today. Celebrate God. Pray for the troops and the war against evil terrorist who want to kill us. God will make a way--where the media seems to see no way. Reckon they will report that? Nah--but we know!!

Christ is STILL KING. God is STILL on the throne!! He is in control. God Bless America--

Thanks for pointing all that out, Angela! It's sad, the way so many Americans seem to want to dis their country when it's been so good to us and so blessed by God.

Have a great and joyful 4th everybody!
Praise to God for giving us such a great and free land to live in!

It is so funny that I am watching that show right now. I have been watching it off and on all day. I was thinking that if I had a social studies class I would tape it--but alas, I haven't been rehired yet (layoff).

Anyhow, I posted (in the reading/book section) that I am really looking at the media with even more scrutiny after reading Michael Crichton's book State of Fear. The basic premise is that groups use the media to create a state of fear to push their agendas. We are safer than we have ever been, but are constantly filled with fear over things that usually don't happen--cold war, Y2k, etc.

Anyway, Happy Independence Day!

And God bless Angela for pointing up important facts about our country that most people miss, including those who supposedly have their finger on the pulse of America but who choose not to report the positive. Unlike them, I am grateful for what we have in this country: free speech, a God-founded society, freedom of worship, and a Homeland Security that does a tough, thankless, but remarkable job of seeing another 9/11 does not happen.

God bless America, and may America also bless God.

And we all know that God doesn't give us a spirit of fear--so reckon who does? yep him.
I loved the part in The Passion of The Christ where the devil is ya yaing about something and appears as a snake. Then Jesus calmly stands up and BAM squishes the serpents head lieka tomato. I loved that part.
He may do the same to the Media someday. I think I would love that part too!!

I watched Revolution on the History Channel yesterday. Well at least some of it. I'd love to get the DVD's. It so looked like America would never be. The soldiers were starving and freezing in the winter's frigid temperatures with snow and ice all around. Many didn't have shoes. They got so hungry they would eat the bark off of trees and roast the leather of the shoes or boots they did have. There was disention and mutiny. Well I could go on, but I won't. I just so appreciated the suffering these men went through to secure our freedom from the clutches of England's rule.

If at some point America becomes an unsafe place to live there is a refuge we can run to and a high tower where we will be safe. And that is to run into the arms of Jesus who will protect and guide us. Some of us may suffer, but he is always with us, never to forsake us. And He will give us all the strength we need to endure anything.

What a great and mighty God we serve!
