Just an intro

Hi everyone,

I am a mom of two living in Arkansas and trying to get someone to look at a children's book I have written. Before I waste a lot of time on senseless queries and a lot of money on manuscript submission or proposal submission sites, I thought I would seek some advice and possibly try to find an agent to represent me.

I have had articles published in newspapers and magazines, but have never had a book published, so I am new to the whole process. I am a Christian, and my book has a Christian world view, so I am starting here to look for support and advice.

I look forward to reading some of your posts and discussions and hopefully adding to them when I can.

Be sure to read the TOS and FAQs at the top of the page in the gray area. Also, read the stickies at the beginning of most forums and workshops. These will help guide you through the site and answer most of your questions. Queries and proposals are a necessary part of the process of getting published. Just curious. Is it lay-na or la-na as in lana turner. I began putting an i in mine so everyone would know its lay-na.
