View Full Version : Don't feel so bad
My satellite station picks up a Mississippi Public Broadcast Station. There is a show I have been waiting all day to see, called Writer . Several writers are in a round table discussion about the writing process. I missed the first few minutes so I don't know the book titles.
Each person was asked how many hours they wrote a day and how many words they wrote a day. One said a good day was when he wrote 3 good paragraphs. Another said that he thought a good day was when he wrote a memorable sentence.
I don't feel that bad about my word count any longer.

Although my word count lately has been negative numbers (literally!)...I feel better too. Thanks, Toni.

At the end of the show I caught a couple of the book titles. One was The Tie That Binds. Another was (I think) Same Place, Same Thing. They mentioned how long it gets to get in the state of mind to write and how exhausting the process is. They mentioned how friends misunderstand what writing is all about--but we know all about that!
i sometime feel bad becasue what i write doesn't seem like much, this makes me feela bit better

I've been working on editing a manuscript all day - I emailed my critique partner and told her I was no longer speaking to her. (I swear she used up a whole package of red pens!) LOL.
So, I guess, this makes me feel better too... but I'll have to think about it for awhile. :D
Hey, I am editing and decided to use my word count to see how many words I have actually added after 4 hours of rewriting and cutting out deadwood.
4 hours off and on all day and (drum roll), I have a grand total of 54 more words. Taa Daa
