Hi All,
I wanted to write something for my grandkids to help them memorize the books of the bible.
Any idea?
Thanks so much. :)

Jerry Lucas created something for that - here is his website (http://www.doctormemory.com/).
For example - there is a girl getting off a school bus - she is "Jenny's sister" - "Genny's sis" - Genesis
Genny's sis is stepping over some glass that a boy is pointing at - she is exiting the bus - Exudus
as she steps over the glass the boy pointing at it says" leave it, it cuts" - Leviticus.
and etc., etc.
You could try the same.

We just put them to song. My kids have been able to learn all the new testament books this way. I'm not sure if that is what you were wanting. If you don't want to go the musical route you could write a poem. Something catchy and easy for them to remember.

My kids go to a christian school and the 4th grade teacher there has the books set to a tune. My son, who will be a fifth grader next year, can sing that song so fast it makes my head spin. :)
I'm sure you could google 'tune to books of the Bible' or similar and come up with a midi file of the tune. (If all you want is for your kids to memorize the books - but if you want to write something then the possibilities are endless.)
