Is anyone aware of an on-line translating source that I could take current English words and have them translated into a different era of English?

Xenia, I think there is one for Elizabethan but I have a feeling that's not what you are looking for. What era did you want?

At the moment the King James era (if there is such a thing) or I believe that would be "New Modern". I found an Old English translator but that was way older than I need. I hunted around quite a bit on the internet but couldn't find what I was looking for. Of course I wanted to find some simple little page like babel fish that I could just plop my word into and presto out would come the perfect translation... not!

That is the Elizabethan era. Here's a link to an Elizabethan site that contains a dictionary...
http://www.elizabethan-era.org.uk/elizabethan-online-dictionary.htm
...it also has dress, food, music, life,
Here's the link to the insults used at that time...

Hope this helps.
