Meeting Jesus.

Inability to change forces me to look Jesus in the eye.
Blushing shame at my own nakedness creeps.
Still I know the accuser is the father of the lie.
Yet now a harvest this fallen angel reaps.
See the weeds inside my heart to be burnt!

"Remember these times of wanton greed?"
My ever faithful Saviour speaks.
"When you hated from My love to feed?"
In His words the fire of His mercy peaks,
My past greed tumbles out of my psyche.

Shuddering is the only way to illustrate,
The fate greed meets on his tailspin out.
Utterly rejected and in a most miserable state.
Clear knowledge what his punishment is about,
This past ruler is stripped of his powers over me.

"Those times you in selfishness did feed?"
The perspicacity of His view zeroes in.
His voice so gentle, its sound so sweet.
Yet crumbles my biggest I within.
Down the tunnel without ending I go.

"But my child why did you follow?"
His words bring me back from sure calamity.
"How much narcissistic thinking did you swallow?
Just let it flow out of your individuality.
Come take on a humble vision of self like me."

Gratefully I take His gift offered to me.
A humble heart inside my chest to throb.
From greedy selfishness free to be.
Please dear Friend never stop.
Fill my every sense of being with Yourself.

Never did I deserve this.
Your goodness my heart to meet.
I have done so much amiss.
Yet in loving care You still greet.
How I long always in You to be.

Hello Jeshu,

Thank you so much for sharing this poem. What a beautiful picture of how God dealt with you and helped you come to Jesus! It's God's work of confiction of sin and repentence. Wow. what a wonderful thing Jesus did for you. Thanks for letting me see that. :)
