This really is a hoot. :D It really illistrates a chapter in the book, "How to Write a Breakout Novel", called raising the stakes.

This is great. It's given me a bit of inspiration for the current scene in my latest story. I have two characters who get visions of the future meeting for the first time. The trick is to get them into a mild conflict before they join forces. I like the subtlety of this cartoon, it's what I'm shooting for as well.
