Dr Rita just sent me your way! Glad to have found you. My name is Fiona, I'm from the UK (although spent 22 years in South Africa) and I'm just starting out in screenwriting. My first screenplay ever is being made into a short film by the British Film Council - shooting starts this weekend. I'm busy developing a second film for them now. I've also started writing a children's animated TV series - commissioned - for which I'll be paid whether it's produced or not! Which is great news seeing I was asked to forfeit my fee for the Film Council project!

fevsmith, I don't know how many members will post a welcome here because this is not the Meet and Greet section. We're glad you joined us. Roam around and make yourself at home. Blessings on your writing.

Hi Lyn and Rachel, I was just saying hello to this particular forum. I've already said hello elsewhere; I didn't think it would be a problem.

Oh, no problem. One greeting there covers it all but that's okay. I think we both thought maybe you missed the Meet and Greet as we saw this post before your greeting. Glad you joined us!

A big CW and Hollywood (from me) welcome!! Wow, you hit it big fevsmith. A huge congrats to you and your upcoming project. I've done a couple of short films, one produced, one is supposed to be in preproduction but we'll see. And of course writing.

I am looking forward to getting to know you better!

Thanks Dr Rita. Still trying to reap the whirlwind here. I'll only consider that I've hit it big, if the animated series actually gets screened. Money is one thing, but actually having your work viewed is something else. I've just (literally) left my hero hanging over a croc infested river, dangling from his shredded parachute, as I try to figure out how to write 'split screen' into the script. I need to have worried friends back at the farm listening in to the rescue through an aeroplane radio. Any idea how I actually write that into the script?
