My Music Video

am starting recording this month:) and i want my music video to be great,cenematic and touching not guyz dancing alone but like a story
any advice anybody thats has been there can give me some do and donts !thumbsup!

"I would say that the WORST music videos are those that feel they have to tell the story of the song line by line. When the images match the lyrics, crew members say we are "Mickey Mousing" it - and that's not a good thing. A good music video concept accents the song without making it into a short film. Some of the best videos are a counterpoint to the song or even present a completely different way of interpreting the music.

Remember that song writers are modern-day poets. When a director tries to tell them "I know exactly what this line means" they think "Well, DUH!?!"
